SOFTBALL -- Friendship 7, USJ 3

MURFREESBORO -- Forcing the action with 11 hits, Friendship Christian took advantage of five University School of Jackson errors and came away with a 7-3 victory over the Lady Bruins Wednesday in the opening round of the Division II-A state softball tournament at Starplex.

The Lady Commanders improved to 38-7-1 with the win and moved into a second round game vs. The King's Academy Thursday.
