Claude "Buster" Jennings, 88

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, July 10 at Lebanon's First Baptist Church for Mr. Claude D. "Buster" Jennings, 88, of Lebanon.

A former member of the Wilson County Board of Education and a longtime Deacon and choir member at FBC Lebanon, he died July 7, 2016 following an extended illness.

Carney is new WCHS boys coach

Former coach at Portland High
As was reported by The Wilson Post last week via Twitter, Wilson Central High Principal Travis Mayfield has hired Portland High basketball coach Chris Carney as his new boys basketball coach.

Carney, 29, replaces Tyler Brown who resigned in June after one season at the Wildcat helm, leading the team to a record of 12-15.
