Three new faces to join school board

In the wake of Thursday's county election, the Wilson County School Board will feature three new faces when the board expands from five members to seven in September.

But the board will also retain two reelected incumbents and two whose seats weren't up for election this year - giving it a mix of three new and four returning members.

'Meet The Tigers' Saturday
Watertown High's football team will travel to Robertson County Friday for a 7 pm scrimmage with the Jo Byrns Red Devils.

Purple and White faithful are invited to attend the inaugural "Meet the Tigers" Saturday at Robinson Stadium.

Plans call for a $10 a player barbeque dinner as well as a silent and live auction.

GOLF -- Hunters Point hosts LHS event

August 13 for Blue Devil hoops
Lebanon High's basketball programs invite golfers of all abilities to play in the annual Blue Devil Golf Classic, Saturday, Aug. 13 at Hunters Point Golf Course.

The four-member scramble will get started at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. Registration will be held from 7-7:45 am.

Cost is just $75 per player / $300 per team with all proceeds slated to benefit the basketball programs.
