WCHS names Homecoming court

Wilson Central High School will celebrate Homecoming tonight prior to their game with McGavock High School. Festivities start at 6:20 with the parade of floats followed by the presentation of the court at 6:30. The court includes: (seated from left) Kamryn Burgess, senior; Football Sweetheart Sarah Moore, Queen Payton Hartnett and Grayson Allen, senior. Back row: Ella Burgess, freshman: Sydney Davidson, sophomore: Molly Kate Brown, junior: Alexis Miller, junior: Millie Gnewikow, sophomore and Carson Coward, freshman.

As most of you figured out, I had taken a two week vacation, first down in New Orleans and then onboard a ship headed out into the Gulf of Mexico. The weather in new Orleans was about the same that we had been having here. Lots of heat and humidity to go around.

NASHVILLE -- Mt. Juliet Christian Academy defeated Pearl-Cohn 5-0 Thursday at the Ted Rhodes Soccer Complex.
The Lady Saints led 3-0 at intermission and never looked back on goals from Marcella Gallione, Kinsley Barga and eighth grader Mallie Foutch.
Second half goals came from Aspen Lewis and Kortney Robbins.
Assists were credited to: Abigail Eastin, Gallione, Carly Keith, Nicole Froome and Mallie Foutch.
MJCA goalkeeper Abi Hildabrand recorded seven saves.
