County, district breaks ground on Central Office project

The former Lebanon High School building at 415 Harding Drive is about the be revitalized.

A groundbreaking was held on Monday morning at the location to celebrate its latest purpose - housing the Wilson County School System.

(boys) Forrest 59, MJ Christian 44
CHAPEL HILL -- Forrest marched to the charity stripe 18 times and converted 16 free throws in Monday's 59-44 victory over visiting Mt. Juliet Christian Academy. The Rockets led 16-9 after one quarter and 27-14 at intermission.
MJCA was led by Logan Anderson with 14 points. Tyler West and Bailey Jones each had nine points in the loss.
The Saints connected on 7-of-8 free throw attempts.
MJ Christian is scheduled to host The Webb School Tuesday, Nov. 29.

FOOTBALL -- MJ sweeps top region honors

QB Earls, Coach Perry honored
Region 3, 6A football champion Mt. Juliet High swept a bushel basket of postseason honors as the All-Region team was released Monday morning, Nov. 21.

Mt. Juliet High quarterback Mason Earls was voted Most Valuable Player. Co-Offensive MVP honors are shared by Franklin High tailback Mitch Rossi and Wilson Central quarterback Blake Meadors.

Safety Theo Jackson of Overton High was the defensive MVP.
