MT. JULIET -- The host Lady Bears pounded out 14 hits and took advantage of three Hendersonville errors in Tuesday's 9-3 victory over the Lady Commandos.

C.J. Privott and Kyli Biggs each had three hits while Tyffany Cargile and Biggs each drove in two runs.

The Lady Bears, now 5-5 overall and 1-1 in District 9-AAA, will host Wilson Central Wednesday at 5 p.m.

SHACKLE ISLAND -- Mt. Juliet's Ethan Smith struck out 12 in five innings of work to lead the Golden Bears to a 6-0 win at Beech.

Smith allowed just one hit as MJHS improved to 9-2 overall / 3-0 in District 9-AAA.

Cade Hoppe went 2-for-3 with a double and drove in three runs.

WRESTLING -- Kramer wins NHSCA title

Earns prep All-America status --
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Wilson Central 285-pounder Michael Kramer went 5-0 over the weekend to win his division in the 28th annual National High School Coaches Association wrestling championships held at March 24, 25 and 26 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

The sophomore pinned five straight opponents, four in the first period, for the national championship and earned All American honors.
