Traci Peel recounts West Side Task Force experience

First of all, I would like to thank Mayor Bernie Ash for allowing me the honor of serving this city by having enough confidence to make me one of his three choices for the West Side Park "Task Force". I'm sure you have heard a little about the proposal already. I must admit I am feeling inadequate right now as if I might have let the Mayor down and the taxpayers of Lebanon. Ultimately it's the peoples desires that count regardless of my experience.

To mark RED Day on Thursday, May 11, a day dedicated to serving the community, the Mt. Juliet Keller Williams Realty office and more than 150 of their associates will partner with the Wilson County Veterans Services Office, American Legion of Mt. Juliet and Lebanon, Lebanon's Vietnam Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars of America and Courtney's Restaurant to salute local veterans with a free pancake breakfast and day of service.

RUNNING -- John Elrod headed to UT

Preferred walk on for Volunteers -
Wilson Central cross country / track standout John Elrod will be enrolling at the University of Tennessee this fall as a "preferred walk on" with the Volunteer track and cross country programs.

An accomplished distance runner, Elrod won the 2K Steeplechase back on April 1 at the Austin Peay State University High School Classic in a time of 6:46.71.
