Familiar with high adrenaline events on a daily basis, two of Mt. Juliet's men in blue morphed the rush to a high-octane level Monday when they jumped out of an elite army plane and skydived in Clarksville.
A joint operation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Drug Investigation Division and the Tennessee Highway Patrol SWAT TEAM, with the support of the Mt. Juliet Police Department narcotics investigators, has resulted in the arrest of an Old Hickory man on a drug-related charge involving heroin.
A Toast to Tennessee has been a longtime fundraiser for the Mt. Juliet Chamber of Commerce and will be held at the Wilson County Expo Center on Saturday, April 29, from noon until 5 p.m.
Tickets are available at the door for $40 per person.

SMITHVILLE - Despite being no-hit, Lebanon snapped a four-game losing streak Thursday, April 27 with a 4-0 victory over DeKalb County High.
LHS broke open a scoreless game with two runs in the top of the fourth in support of senior Daniel Holmes.
Holmes limited the Tigers to four hits and struck out one in seven innings of work.
DeKalb County pitchers Colter Norris started and went five innings before giving way to Christain Pruitt.

GLADEVILLE -- John Wild has resigned as girls basketball coach at Wilson Central High to take over at Franklin High School in Williamson County.
Wild informed the team of his decision in a Friday morning, April 28 meeting after having told the administration earlier in the week.

The son of Dr. Jon and Karen Franklin, Andrew has been a vital cog in the Wildcats' 8-1 (16-9 overall) run through the District 9-AAA schedule this season.
