Former MJ coach indicted on sex crimes

A former Mt. Juliet High School wrestling coach has been indicted by a Wilson County Grand Jury on charges of statutory rape by an authority figure, sexual battery by an authority figure, unlawful sexual contact and sexual exploitation of a minor.

BASEBALL -- WCHS wins 9-AAA crown

Will host regional Monday -
GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central will host Clarksville Northeast Monday at 7 p.m. in the opening round of the Region 5-AAA baseball tournament after downing Beech 2-1 Thursday for the District 9-AAA championship.

The Wildcats scored twice in the bottom of the third on an RBI single by Ethan Shelton and a bases loaded walk to Will Hudson.

Friendship Christian senior
Noah Baker, a Class of 2017 senior at Friendship Christian School, signed scholarship papers Friday morning, May 12 with King University, an NCAA Division II institution in Bristol.

Baker is the son of Jean Ellen and Dr. Thomas Baker of Lebanon and is a four-year letter winner for the Commanders.
