New principal at Castle Heights Elementary --
LEBANON -- Veteran educator Michael Pigg will be introduced later this week as the new principal at Castle Heights Elementary School in the Lebanon Special School System.
An educator since 2005, Mr. Pigg has spent the past three years as the principal at Watertown Middle School.
He will take the spot vacated by the retirement of CHES principal Terry Trice, who led the local school since the building opened in 1997.
Edwin Velasquez Curuchiche, 40, of Guatemala, who formerly lived in Lebanon, was sentenced Friday by United States District Court Judge Waverly Crenshaw to 50 years in prison, for two counts of production of child pornography.

Versatile Wilson Central soccer standout James Graham signed an NCAA National Letter of Intent Monday, May 15 to continue his education and soccer career at Tusculum College, an NCAA Division II institution in Greeneville.
Graham led the Wildcats in scoring this past season, despite playing almost half the season as a defensive midfielder.
Beth Goolesby credited her mother and mother-in-law with instilling in her the value of putting your children's needs before your own.
For Goolesby, this includes her four adopted children, as well as the many special needs children who are served through Empower Me Day Camp, where she is assistant director. She truly has a heart for others.
