James Franklin Limbaugh, 58
MT. JULIET -- Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Limbaugh, 58, of Mt. Juliet.
An employee of Bridgestone Tire for many years, he died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011.
Mr. Limbaugh loved to ride motorcycles and was a member of the HOGG Club.
Services will be conducted by Alive Hospice Chaplain Rev. Beth Causey. Interment will follow at Binkley-Hagar-Steele Cemetery in Davidson County.
Survivors include: children Lisa Stuart of Nashville, Jamie McCright of Mt. Juliet and Michael (Nikki) Limbaugh of Hartsville.
Also surviving is brother, Karl Limbaugh of Mt. Juliet, 11 grandchildren along with best friend and former wife Gayle Riddle of LaVergne.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Edna Cook Limbaugh, three brothers and two sisters.
Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.

Larry Dean Arthur, 65

LEBANON -- Larry Arthur passed away on Jan. 6, 2011 at age 65.
A Financial Vice President with American Way Insurance, he served in the U.S. Marines, rising to rank of Sergeant. Mr. Arthur served three tours of duty in Vietnam. He attended the University of Texas-Arlington.

The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Sunday, Jan. 9 from 5-7 p.m.  The chapel service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, is set for 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10.  Interment will follow in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Nashville.

Survivors include: his wife of 41 years Cheryl Balfour-Grice Arthur of Lebanon; sons Christopher James (Christina) Arthur and William Bradley (Diosa) Arthur; father Warren (Michelle) Arthur; brother Daniel James Arthur; and grandchildren Halley and Collin Arthur. 

Family will serve as pallbearers. He is preceded in death by mother Ruby Lee Tierney Stinson.

Minnie Pearl Adams, 96
LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7 at the JC Hellum Funeral Home for Ms. Adams, 96.
Born July 13, 1914, she died Jan. 4, 2011, at Lebanon's Quality Health Care.
Family visitation will be held Friday from 1-1:30 p.m. with services to follow.
Rev. Larry D. Douglas will serve as the eulogist. Interment will follow at Mount Lebanon Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: children Virginia (John) Majors, Beulah (Edward) Shorter, Thomas, Robert (Kimberly), James (Anele) Adams.
Also surviving: brother Paul (Shirley) Bailey, sister Annie M. Griffin; 32 grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services in the care of JC Hellum Funeral Home, Lebanon.

CU baseball honored by Tenn Sports Hall of Fame

The accolades keep on coming for Cumberland’s 2010 national champion baseball team. The Bulldogs are one of three collegiate squads being recognized as Amateur Team of the Year by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.

The induction banquet will be held Friday, Feb. 11 at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel. Tickets for the awards banquet and induction ceremony are available from the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame for $125 each.
