Mt. Juliet's potent offense scored on each of its first seven possessions en route to a lopsided 52-20 victory over Gallatin Friday night before a packed house. Roger Perry's Golden Bears ran up and down the field, seemingly at will, rolling up nearly 500 total yards.
"We just came out tonight clicking on all cylinders," Coach Perry said, "our defense and kicking games were solid. We had eight days to prepare for this game and my hat is off to our coaches. They did an outstanding job."
Fullback Contrez McCathern rushed for 186 yards on 17 carries while Cody Carr added 124 yards on 11 attempts. QB Caleb Chowbay completed 7-of-12 pass attempts for 123 yards.
Mt. Juliet improved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in District 9AAA with the win. Gallatin fell to 6-1 / 3-1.
