New Life Ministries welcomes Mercys Harbor in concert

Pastor George Wallace and the congregation of New Life Ministries at 402 E. Forrest Ave., Lebanon, welcome the group Mercy's Harbor at 5:30 p.m., Sunday March 18.

Mercy's Harbor consists of husband and wife team Donnie and Melody Marr from Albertville, Ala., Brent Lee from Chattanooga, and Austin Anderson from Alexandria, Ala.

Donnie and Brent traveled together as Exalted for many years before coming back together as Mercys Harbor. As Exalted, they performed in various venues, such as The National Quartet Convention (NQC) as well as many other churches and concert halls around the country, beside many of todays top artists.

They were also honored to have songs in various charts throughout the Southern Gospel industry. Gabriel Play and Count Me In, which landed at number 59 on The Singing News top 100 charts, were and still remain two of the most requested songs to date.

Melody has also enjoyed a great background of Southern Gospel Music. Her mother, the late Doris Andoe, traveled across the country for many years as a soloist and also headed her own group Evidence. Many referred to Doris as the"other Vestel Goodman," thusbeing asked to record a Tribute album to the late Vestel Goodmanin which she gladly accepted.

Though all the accolades are nice and enjoyable, nothing compares to the lives that have been changed though this ministry, Wallace said, adding Mercys Harbors desire is to continue to see lives changed through the moving of the Holy Spirit.
