WCHS locked down Thursday morning

The Wilson Post

Wilson Central High School was locked down for a little more than an hour Thursday morning after a threatening note was found in the school, but the threat proved to be unfounded and the Wilson County School System is offering a reward for information leading to the apprehension of the suspect.

Director of Safety for the Wilson County School System David Burton said a student found a threatening letter at the school early in the morning Thursday and reported it to a principal.

We received an anonymous threat found in a bathroom, Burton said.

Burton said he could not say specifically what the note threatened, but said Wilson County Sheriffs Deputies and officers of the Lebanon Police Department were on-site to assist in searching the school.
