Chili supper set Jan. 4 for Coach Harp

A chili supper will be held Friday, Jan. 4 at the Lebanon High cafeteria to welcome Sam Harp as the new football coach of the Blue Devils. Cost is $5 per person which includes a bowl of chili, a beverage and dessert. Doors will open at 5 p.m. followed by brief remarks from Coach Harp around 6 p.m.

The Lebanon basketball teams will host District 9AAA rival Station Camp beginning with the girls game at 6:30 p.m. in the adjacent Campbell Brandon Gym.

Coach Harp was introduced to the Lebanon High team Wednesday, Dec. 19 -- just over six weeks after the resignation of former Blue Devil coach Troy Crane.

Harp coached for 32 years in Kentucky, including the last 25 at Danville High, where his teams reached the state finals 10 times, winning seven championships. Overall, his coaching record stands at 326-106.
