Funeral services for Miss Bernice Drennan are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, July 5 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Keene officiating. Private interment for family and close friends will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Friday after 1 p.m at Ligon & Bobo.

Miss Drennan, age 79 of Lebanon passed away Monday, July 1, 2013, at University Medical Center.

Issac Turney Shehane, 90

Isaac Turney Shehane, 90, of Watertown died Wednesday morning, July 3, 2013 at his residence.

Born March 1, 1923 in Liberty, he was the son of the late John and Olivia Campbell Shehane and was preceded in death by brothers, Buster and Ferman Shehane and sisters, Mattie Belle Robinson, Odell Mathis, Bea Southworth and Geneva Bellestri.

Kayla Lynn Watkins, 22

Kayla Watkins, age 22, passed away on June 30, 2013. The memorial service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, is 7 p.m. Friday, July 5 at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon. Visitation is Friday from 5 p.m. until the service.

Margaret Louise Smith, 54

Margaret Louise Smith, 54, of the Gladeville community died Wednesday morning, July 3, 2013 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas in Nashville.

She was the daughter of the late Robert Allen Barrett and Maude Jennings Barrett and was preceded in death by brothers, James, Charles and Willie Barrett.

Vicky Marie Fish, 61

Vicky Fish, age 61, passed away on July 1, 2013. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home (313 W. Baddour Pkwy) in Lebanon on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from noon until the service.

The funeral service, conducted by Reverend Danny Sellars, is 2 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013. Interment in Fish Cemetery will immediately follow the service.

Berea Church of Christ VBS set

Berea Church of Christ will hold its Vacation Bible School at 6:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, July 8-10.

Its a Blue Ribbon Life, A Study of the Fruit of the Spirit is the theme for VBS this year.

Wilson 911 Board to meet

Wilson County 911 Board will have its regular meeting at 4 p.m., Monday, July 8, at the 911 office at 1611 West Main Street, Lebanon.

Wilson under Flash Flood Watch

Wilson County is under Flash Flood Watch from midnight tonight through Friday evening.

Thats the word from Capt. Stephen Spencer, EMA Planning officer with Wilson County Emergency Management Agency, and the National Weather Service Office in Old Hickory.

They noted that A deep southerly flow of tropical moisture will move into Middle Tennessee tonight. The high levels of moisture combined with an unusually strong upper level jet stream over the region will cause widespread and persistent showers and thunderstorms to develop tonight and continue through Friday evening.
