A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at the Lebanon First Church of the Nazarene, 812 N. Cumberland St., for Mr. "Chuck" Kindermann, 73. He died Aug. 7, 2013.

Herbert Gleaves Poss Jr., 72

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Aug. 8 at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon, for Mr. Poss, 72,of Lebanon. He died Aug. 6, 2013.

James Kenneth "Jimmy" Morgan, 55

Jimmy Morgan, 55, passed away on Aug. 7, 2013. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Friday from 3-8 p.m. and on Saturday from noon until the service.

The funeral service, conducted by Brother Donald Owens, is 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug 10 at Sellars on the Baddour Parkway. Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Margie N. Voyles, 79

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1004 Woodbridge Place, Mt. Juliet, for Mrs. Voyle, 79, of Hermitage. She died Aug. 7, 2013.

Visitation will be Friday at Sellars Funeral Home, Mt. Juliet between the hours of 5-8 p.m.
Inurnment will be Thursday, Aug. 15 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Charleston, SC.
Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet is in charge of arrangements.
Minnie Dorothy Welden Ballum, 103

Funeral services and interment will be held Saturday, Aug. 10 in Rockford, Illinois for Mrs. Ballum, 103, of Lebanon. She died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at Southern Manor.

Curd Road at MJHS flooded

Curd Road by Mt. Juliet High School is covered by flood waters, and authorities are urging everyone to avoid that area until the water subsides.

So far, classes are still scheduled at the school today.

Heavy and constant rainfall has occurred for the past several hours, causing flooding conditions in several locations.

LHS tops MJ, Gallatin in golf

Lebanon High's golf teams opened the season with a pair of wins Tuesday, Aug. 6ina pair of tri-match at the Lebanon Golf & Country Club. The LHS boys carded a 348 to hold off Mt. Juliet (352) and Gallatin (377). The Lebanon girls shot a 172 to defeat Mt. Juliet (198) and Gallatin (226).
