Wilson Bank & Trust recently promoted five employees to assistant vice president or officer positions.
Paul Shearer, Barbara Sherrell and Linda Smith were named assistant vice presidents, and Lynn Miller and Amy Tuggle were named officers in their respective departments.
Shearer, who works in real estate management at the bank's main office, joined WB&T three years ago. He previously worked as a credit analyst for a community bank in Dayton. Shearer attended Bryan College and has earned certifications from the School of Consumer Credit and the School of Banking through the Tennessee Bankers Association. He and his wife Sarah have two children, Abigail and Joshua.
Sherrell is the branch manager at Wilson Bank & Trust in Gladeville. She joined the bank in 2014, working as a loan officer and an assistant manager before her move to the Gladeville office. She was previously a loan officer for an agricultural lending cooperative. Sherrell is a Mt. Juliet High School and Middle Tennessee State University graduate. She and her husband Mark have two children, Braden and Lilian.
Smith has served as the assistant manager of WB&T's Electronic Banking Department for more than 10 years. Since joining the bank in 1994, she has also served in other roles at the main office, including electronic banking specialist and head of ATM operations. She is a graduate of Lebanon High School and the Southeastern School of Banking. She and her husband Bobby have a 21-year-old daughter, Jessica.
Operations Officer Miller, also stationed at the main office, joined the bank in 2011 and moved into an operations specialist role last September. She has also served as an executive administrative assistant and a head teller at WB&T, and she previously worked as a customer service representative at a regional bank in Smithville. Miller is a graduate of DeKalb County High School, and she and her husband Bradley have two sons, Jordan and Mason.
Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer Tuggle, who is headquartered at the WB&T Operations Center on Legends Drive, has worked in the bank's regulatory department for three years. She joined the bank in 2009, working as a personal banker and a deposit operations clerk before becoming a BSA assistant. A graduate of Friendship Christian School, Tuggle recently earned credentials as a certified anti-money laundering specialist. She and her husband J.P. have a daughter, Lily, and are expecting their second child in November.
