Armed robber sought

From Post staff reportsLebanon Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a check cashing business on Monday morning.The suspect, described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 165 to 170 pounds, entered the check cashing business located in the Cedars Square Shopping Center on South Cumberland Street about 10:30 a.m., Monday, and walked behind the counter.Lead investigator, Det. Chris Melvin, said in a news release that the suspect approached the clerk and demanded money. The suspect was armed with a silver handgun. The clerk complied and the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the business and remains at large.The suspect was wearing a long sleeve, black shirt, long denim shorts and a ball cap.If you have any information regarding this robbery, call Melvin at 443-2832.
