Class A Mr. Baseball finalist --
Watertown High's Seth Price is a finalist for the 2017 Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Mr. Baseball award for Class A.
Price, along with Ryan Weathers from Loretto and Wyatt Blessing from Goodpasture, will be on hand at Middle Tennessee State University's Reese Smith Field for the awards ceremony Tuesday, Mary 23.
Price, a four-year starter for the Purple Tigers, signed earlier this year with Lindsey Wilson College.
An infielder / pitcher he is a two-time Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association All-State selection and earned Region 4 Showcase Team honors.
Price has played summer ball with multiple top tier programs including with the Nashville-based Team Nike.
In addition to his skills on the baseball diamond, Price was an outstanding athlete on the football field and basketball court.
He was named the Wilson County Football Player of the Year by The Wilson Post in 2016. He owns the school record for most touchdown passes in a season with 38, and was named a Tennessee Titans Mr. Football semifinalist. He is also Watertown High's all-time leading scorer in basketball.
As a senior, Price hit .427 with 23 doubles and 34 RBI. He stole 30 bases in 31 attempts. On the mound, he went 4-2 with an ERA of 1.55 in 36 innings of work. H struck out 51 and walked 21,
Just last week, Price was a finalist for the Wilson County Student-Athlete of the Year, an award presented by the Wilson County Sports Council.
Price will continue his baseball career and education this fall at Lindsey Wilson College -- an NAIA institution in Columbia, Ky. LWC is a member of the Mid-South Conference.
