WCHS visits Ravenwood Friday
Needed just one more win to reach next week's TSSAA Spring Fling, Wilson Central's baseball team travels on Friday to take on Ravenwood High in a Class AAA sectional game. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Coach Anthony Ford's team checks in with a record of 21-11-1 following Wednesday's 13-5 loss to Hendersonville in the Region 5-AAA title game at Drakes Creek Park.

Leading 3-1, the Wildcats saw Hendersonville erupt for seven runs in the bottom of the third, then push the margin to 9-3 with another marker in the fourth.

Wilson Central rallied for a pair of runs in the sixth, only to see the Commandos answer with four in the bottom of the frame.

Ryan Hill started and was tagged with the loss.

Colten Morris slugged a two-run homer for WCHS in the loss while Dalton McCorkle added an RBI double.

Ravenwood, the runner-up in District 11-AAA, stands 24-6 after topping Centennial 9-7 in the Region 6-AAA finals.
