LEBANON -- Friendship Christian dropped a 3-2 decision to visiting Knox Webb Wednesday, May 3 in second round of the East-Middle District 1-A baseball tournament. Tarver Hayslip and Ben Jamison drove in the FCS runs in the top of the first inning.

Justin Seagraves was tagged with the loss, scattering four hits and walking three during his six inning stint.

Braden Reece and Hayslip each doubled while Jamison singled for Friendship's only hits

With the loss, the Commanders (23-11) will play Mt. Juliet Christian Academy Friday in the district's third place game.

The Saints lost to Donelson Christian Academy 5-4 in Wednesday's other second round game, slipping to 18-11 on the season.

Both Friendship Christian and Mt. Juliet Christian will advance to the East-Middle Region tournament next week -- playing on the road at higher seeds.

MT. JULIET -- Scoring all 11 runs in the fourth inning, Mt. Juliet Christian Academy breezed into the semifinals of the East-Middle District 1-A tournament with an 11-1 win over The King's Academy Monday afternoon.
By reaching the district semifinals, MJCA has locked up a berth in the East-Middle regional tournament.
Cody Nalley drove in four runs with a bases-clearing double and a ground out while Noah Michael added three RBI on a double and a single.
Caylor Bates went five innings for the decision, striking out seven and allowing just three hits.

Friendship 20, HCA 0
LEBANON -- Eleven different Friendship Christian players collected hits in Monday's 20-0 home win over Hendersonville Christian to open play in the East-Middle District 1-A tournament.
All told, FCS had 20 hits in just four turns at bat and broke open a 3-0 contest with 13 runs in the bottom of the third.
Braden Reece had two doubles and drove in two runs while Daniel Lucas had a double and a single for three RBI.
Justin Seagraves doubled in a pair of runs and stole two bases while Hanley Sobieszczyk went 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Samuel Hollis and Chad Holcombe combined to throw a two-hitter, striking out seven.
