OXFORD, AL -- South Carolina struck for three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on the way to a 4-3 victory over the Lebanon Americans Thursday, Aug. 10 in a loser-out game of the Dixie Youth Ozone World Series at Choccolocco Park.

The Lebanon Youth Baseball squad, the 12U Tennessee champions, were nursing a 3-0 lead until South Carolina pushed across a single run in the fourth and added three in the fifth -- including a two-run opposite field homer.

Brody Hays staked Tennessee to a quick lead with a solo homer followed by an RBI single by Wyatt Bowling that scored Jaylen Abston.
Connor Gannon drove in Jackson Lea with Lebanon's other run with an RBI double in the third.

Bowling started and worked four innings, allowing two earned runs. Easton Forsyth worked the fifth.

Lebanon advanced to the Final Four contest with a 9-6 win over Texas Wednesday -- finishing the 11-team event 3-2 -- good enough for third place.

Team members include: Bryce Fuller, Austin Weatherford, Jackson Lea, Isiah Douglas, Jay Dillard, Brody Hall, Connor Gannon, Brody Hays, Easton Forsyth, Jackson Bone, Jaylen Abston and Wyatt Bowling. Manager Nick Hays, assistant coaches Jeff Gannon and Jeff Lea.
