Cumberland left at least one runner on base in eight of the nine innings, including the bases loaded in the sixth and two apiece in the third and seventh.
Five players collected two hits each, pacing the 13-hit attack for the Bulldogs, including Cory Urquhart, Mike Mandarino, Josh McGee, William Henderson and Daniel Harrison. Urquhart also scored twice.
Chipper Smith (3-3), pitching on four days rest, lasted four innings, giving up four earned runs on seven hits. The lefthander walked three and struck out five. Reliever Jesse Coe (from Lebanon, pictured) tossed four innings, allowing no earned runs on three hits with five walks and two strikeouts.
ERAU starter Eric Green got just three outs before giving way to Ronnie Ratliff (2-1), who tossed seven innings of relief to pick up the victory. He scattered eight hits, gave up one unearned run, walked two and struck out two before Daniel Lidyard got the final three outs for the second straight day.
Frankie Arias went 3-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored for the Eagles, while Ian MacGeorge drove in three runs.
Cumberland scored four times in the top of the first to take an early lead, starting with a leadoff single from Urquhart and a walk to Sam Lind. Mandarino and McGee each plated runs with singles and Brodie Ross followed with a run-scoring groundout. With two outs William Hendersons single scored McGee for the early advantage.
ERAU answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning and it could have been more, as Arias, Jordan Romero and Ben Kline all singled to start the inning. Consecutive sacrifice flies from Chris Page and MacGeorge cut the CU lead in half.
The Bulldogs added a run in the second when Antonio Butler walked, stole second, went to third on a throwing error by the catcher and scored on another throwing error, this one by the centerfield.
In the ERAU third Page was hit and MacGeorge followed with a two-run homer down the leftfield line, making it 5-4 Cumberland.
Arias double with one out in the fourth started another Eagles rally and Kline was intentionally walked with two outs. Page was hit again before a three-base error off the bat of MacGeorge cleared the bases, as Ross misplayed the ball in rightfield, allowing the home team to take the lead.
Defense hurt the Bulldogs again in the seventh, with Greg Smith reached on a McGee error with one out. He stole second and scored on a single from Arias. After a groundout, Kline hit a two-run homer to left, giving the Eagles a 10-5 lead.
Urquhart singled to leadoff the CU eighth and went all the way to third on an error by the leftfield. He scored on a groundout by Lind, but that was all for the Bulldogs.
