The magnificent estate Cracker Barrel Founder Danny Evins once called home will go on the auction block this Saturday.

Auctioneer Jay White, with Agee & Johnson Realty and Auction Co., said that the Belle Isle Plantation, located at 6636 Cairo Bend Road in Lebanon, is definitely something to see. "It is absolutely awesome," he noted.

The vacant property will be selling absolute to the highest bidder in the auction, which is set to begin on the estate at 10 a.m. White said the 306-acres, which contain five homes ranging from the grand 4,500-square-foot main residence to a simple one bedroom cabin on Old Hickory Lake, will be sold in 29 parcels.

"All of the homes were built from 1991 to 1995," White said, adding that in his 28 years as an auctioneer the Belle Isle Plantation is "once of the biggest we have done."

Directions to Belle Isle from Nashville are: Go I-40 East to Gallatin Exit 232 B, take Hwy 109 north for 8 miles, turn right on Academy Road and go for three miles. Turn left on Cairo Bend Road, go three miles to property.

From Lebanon: Go Coles Ferry Pike for seven miles, turn right on Cairo Bend Road and go three miles to property.
