Belmont University announces spring dean's list

The following Wilson County students achieved the dean's list at Belmont University for the spring 2017 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade-point average of 3.5 with no grade below a 'C.'

Named to the dean's list from Lebanon were: Chandler Bastin, Ethan Bentley, Caroline Hendrick, Christopher Pfaff, Linda Sok and Kendyl Turner. Students from Mt. Juliet named to the dean's list were: Emily Bengtson, Hannah Burnette, Michael DeVries, Amanda Esposito, David Gal-Chis, Steven Griffin, Ian Grisham, Derian Hamblin, Morgan Maxwell, Sarah Maxwell, Paul Nowakowski, Chanel Thomas, Brenna Wheeler, Lauren White and Alexander Wilhelm.

Approximately 30 percent of Belmont's 7,700 students qualified for the spring 2017 dean's list. Belmont Provost Dr. Thomas Burns said, "This achievement for the spring semester indicates that these students have placed a high priority on their work at Belmont and have invested time and energy in their studies. It is our strong belief that consistent application in this manner will reap great benefits, which will equip them for a lifetime of learning and growing."
