Dear Ken: What happened to the girl who played Scout in the movie “To Kill a Mockingbird”?

That was Mary Badham, 59, who played Gregory Peck’s daughter in the 1962 movie, now celebrating its 50th anniversary. The native of Birmingham, Ala., lives with her husband on a farm near Richmond, Va. They raised a son and daughter. Over the past few years she has made appearances to talk about her experience of making the film, which was based on the novel by Harper Lee. Until his death, Peck continued to call her Scout and she called him Atticus. Badham’s other movie credits include “Let’s Kill Uncle” and “This Property Is Condemned” and 2005’s “Our Very Own,” which was filmed in Shelbyville, Tenn. She also appeared in episodes of “Dr. Kildare” and “The Twilight Zone.”

Dear Ken: If I remember right, Pernell Roberts was the last of the four actors who starred as the Cartwright men on “Bonanza” to die. Did he star in any other TV series or movies?

Roberts died in January 2010 at 81 of pancreatic cancer. Preceding him in death were Dan Blocker (Hoss Cartwright), Michael Landon (Little Joe) and Lorne Green (Ben Cartwright). From 1979 to 1986, he starred in “Trapper John, M.D.” As for film credits, he was in “Desire Under the Elms,” “Ride Lonesome” and “The Magic of Lassie.” Roberts was also in the miniseries “Centennial” and a guest on numerous TV series. Married four times, he had a son, who died in a motorcycle accident in 1989.

Eighteen, with No. 19 coming in December when she stars opposite Seth Rogen in “The Guilt Trip.” The Brooklyn native, 70, has won two Oscars: for best actress in “Funny Girl” and for best music, original song for “Evergreen” in “A Star Is Born,” which was co-written with Paul Williams. 

Dear Ken: Did late country music singers Kitty Wells and Johnnie Wright have a son who played on “McHale’s Navy”?

Yes. Bobby Wright, 70, played Willie Moss in the 1962-1966 sitcom that starred Ernest Borgnine and Tim Conway. As a singer, Bobby had 21 songs that made it into the Hot Country Song charts between 1967 and 1979. His biggest hit, “Here I Go Again,” went to No. 13 in 1971.
