Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Bonnie J. Wells, 65, of Lebanon. Retired as a detective from the Lebanon Police Department, Ms. Wells died Monday, April 13, 2015 following an extended illness.
A 23-year veteran of the Lebanon Police Department, she was also past president of the Sam Houston Lodge # 71, Fraternal Order of Police. An avid sports fan, she played and officiated slow pitch softball for several years.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the funeral.
Services will be conducted by Bro. Kenneth Bowen. Interment will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include: sister Mona Murphy, sons Tim Wells and Shane (Angie) Wells; grandchildren Ashley Wells, Michael Wells, Justin Wells and Hunter Wells; step-brother Joe (Sandra) Garton; nieces Drenda (Charles) Sorrels, Melissa Clemmons and Brandy (Brian) Tomlinson; nephews Brandon (Anna) Murphy, Brian (Elaine) Clemmons, Jeff (Kelley) Clemmons, Cory (Shannon) Clemmons, Brad Clemmons and John (Nicole) Murphy; special friends Pat Callis, Lisa and Eddie Bennett and Kaitlyn, Linda Davis, Kim and Keith Tomlinson and their children, Rodney Gross, Steve Blair and Robert Prince.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents Johnnie T. Johnson and Ruth Marie Glen Garton; step-father J.W. Garton; brother-in-law Smitty Murphy; nephew Winn Murphy; father of her children Master Sgt. Tandy W. Wells; cousin Glen Mason; aunts Bonnie Williams and Billie Mason; uncle Otis Glen; sister Patricia Clemmons and special friend Kathy Davis.
Active pallbearers will be the Lebanon Police Department Honor Guard. Honorary: grandsons and nephews.

officers & staff of the Lebanon Police Department, Gentiva Hospice, Dr. Gary Gallant and Dr. Modupe Kehinde.
