Charles (Charlie) Bradshaw, author of recently published memoir, Post Your Peg High, will be featured at a book signing on July 30, 3-6 p.m., at Fellowship Hall, First Presbyterian Church, 304 West Main Street, Lebanon. This is the second book for Bradshaw, a retired applied mathematician in rockets, space flight, and nuclear engineering at Oak Ridge National Laboratory who has been on the faculty at Vanderbilt, Tennessee Tech, and Cumberland University. He earlier published Rockets, Reactors, and Computers Define the 20th Century detailing major advances in science and his career involvement with them, including his professional connection with Dr. Wernher von Braun. Reared in Mascot, Tenn., a zinc mining town in Knox County, Bradshaw in his new book has written heartwarming reminiscences of family and friends. This can-do, remarkable man also gives a glimpse into the skill and hard work culminating in his career success. Bradshaw and his wife Loyce reside in Lebanon.
