FCS & LHS teams qualify
Twelve local individuals and three complete teams will compete for championships Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Smyrna Bowling Center in the TSSAA state tournament.

The Lebanon High boys will take a record of 20-2 into the Division I team tournament -- which opens Friday -- after pinning a 21-6 loss on Nashville Overton Monday afternoon in the substate at Pro Bowl West.

Jarred Bradshaw rolled a 178, 211, 266 series to lead the Blue Devils. Peyton Bell had a 223 game while Tyler Burton scored a 201. Total pinfall was 3,268 to 2,983 in favor of LHS.

Bell, Bradshaw and Tyler Moore have all qualified for the state as individuals along with Lindsay Manning from the LHS girls.

Also earning individual spots, Mt. Juliet's Jessica Giacobbi and Ben Giacobbi as well as Wilson Central's Rickie Denson.

Division II tournament
Friendship Christian's boys earned a state berth with a first place finish in the Division II Middle District while the Lady Commanders punched their ticket to Smyrna with a runner-up finish in the district.

FCS bowlers who have qualified for the TSSAA state as individuals include: defending champion Donny Turner, Nick Norton, Luke Shoulders, Holly Abrams and Brice Dabbs.

Individual competition is scheduled to begin Thursday.
