Mother & son face charges
A mother and son have been charged in a fatal shooting that took place early Saturday morning in Old Hickory.

Deputies from the Wilson County Sheriff's Department arrived at 1173 Needmore Road and found a man that had been shot multiple times.

Deputies attempted to resuscitate the victim until WEMA units arrived on the scene.

Paramedics then transported the victim to TriStar Summit Medical Center in Hermitage where Vincent Edward Clemmons, 51, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Detectives presented the case to the Wilson County Grand Jury Tuesday morning and indictments were handed down on Mt. Juliet residents Kimberly Ann Scott, 50, and Lance Kelby Rippy, 25, for Premeditated First Degree Murder.

"Our investigators have worked tirelessly all weekend long interviewing individuals as well as tracking down numerous leads which we have received about this incident," said Sheriff Robert Bryan. "These indictments are a direct result of all the hard work and time spent on this malicious crime by our investigators."

Both suspects are currently being held in the Wilson County Jail without bond and will have a court date set in the near future.
