During the recent Eastern Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors (EMTAR) awards banquet, 236 Realtors were honored for achieving sales goals for 2016, and two special awards went to Hunter Briley and Judy Hughes.
Briley, with Team Wilson Real Estate Partners, was named the EMTAR Rookie of the Year. To be eligible for the award, a Realtor must be in his or her first year of real estate, a member of the association and outsell anyone else in the category. In his first year in real estate, Briley sold $8,093,789.
Hughes, of Coldwell Banker Barnes, took the evening's highest honor, EMTAR Realtor of the Year. She was chosen for the award by past recipients. Hughes has been in real estate since 1987 and has been an active member of EMTAR as well as Tennessee Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. While many of the evening's awards were based on volume and transactions, Realtor of the Year is based upon the member's commitment to the industry, professionalism and community involvement.
