Lebanon Police were still on the scene Wednesday night at a suspected meth lab at 613 Hartsville Pike, two doors down from Hillcrest Baptist Church.

“It is confirmed it is a meth lab,” said Cpl. Ray Harris. He added that there were four people inside the house.

Police received an anonymous complaint about possible drug activity at the house, said Lt. Chris Melvin.

Officers responded shortly after 2:30 p.m. and talked to the four people. Melvin said the officers noticed there were items that were pieces of a meth lab, and “they found a sizeable amount of ingredients commonly used to cook meth.”

Officers, including those trained to deal with meth labs, worked to clear the residence. Police were still on the scene as of 6 p.m.

The investigation was continuing, and Melvin said the names of the suspects and any charges would be released later.
