Burton Gwynn Piercey Jr., 50

LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, April 26 at the Sellars Funeral Home for Mr. Piercey, 50, of Lebanon. An engineer with Perma-Pipe, he died suddenly April 24, 2009. A native of Wilson County, he was a graduate of Watertown High School.

Services were conducted by Brother Steve Mayle with interment in Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include wife Karen Angus Piercey; son Michael Piercey, mother-in-law Virginia Angus; sisters Donna (David) Blazic, Andra (Wayne) Broom and Susan Piercey; brothers Bill (Willette) Piercey and Alex (Sherry) Piercey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents, Burt and Gail Webb Piercey, son Mitchell Piercey; and father-in-law William Angus.

Active pallbearers included: Jason Coe, Jason Selby, Nathan Selby, Kenny Piercey, Tommy Harrilson, Orry Vastola, Matthew Broom and Keith Williamson. Honorary: The Engineering Dept. at Perma-Pipe.

Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
