Lebanon Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing Captain Video and Tanning at 1000 North Cumberland Street on on Monday, Oct. 12.

Det. Scott Massey of the LPD said the store was robbed about 7:40 p.m.

“The girl at the counter was the only one working,” he said. “At the time of the robbery, the only customers still in the store were back in the tanning beds.”

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid- to late-20s, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall with a medium build, short hair and a mustache.

Massey said that the perpetrator came in and lingered in the back pretending to look at videos. He then brought a video up to the front and gave the clerk a fake name and phone number.

When she told him the account did not exist, he went outside. The man came back in and asked the clerk to do him a favor which was for her to open the register and give him all of the money.

The suspect fled on foot. Massey said the man never showed a weapon or claimed to have one, but that the clerk was afraid since she was the only worker on duty.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call Lebanon Police at 444-2323.
