From Post Staff Reports

The Lebanon-Wilson Chamber of Commerce sent out a community advisory in an email to members Monday afternoon warning them of a potential scam.

Chamber Marketing Manager Dakota Weatherford said they learned of a company calling local businesses posing as a chamber advertising representative earlier that morning, when a member called in about it. A company identifying themselves Premier Map allegedly called the chamber member and said that they were selling advertisements with the Chamber for a magazine or a community map.

Weatherford was careful to point out that the Chamber is not involved with this company.

This seems to happen more often than I expected, Weatherford said. We just want the public to be aware and notify them.

For more information or if you have been called, contact the Lebanon-Wilson Chamber at 444-5503.
