Charles Cowan Johnson, age 77 of Lebanon passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by parents, Cowan and Lois Johnson; wife and mother of his children, Rachel Chastain Johnson, wife, Johnnie Mae Yelton Johnson.
He is survived by children, Eric (Lori) Johnson, Jim (Kimberly) Johnson, Connie (Jimmy) Hollis, Allen (Holly) Yelton, & Angela (Brian) Elder; grandchildren, Eli Johnson, Parker Johnson, Jenny, Rachel, & Matt Steele, Gus Yelton, Noel Thomas & Katy Mae Elder.
Mr. Johnson was the owner of Johnson Monument for over 40 years. He was an Army
Veteran and a rifle instructor. He was a Freemason, knight templar and 32 degree Scottish right freemason and a member of Donelson American Legion Post 88 where he was a member of the clown unit. He was a skeet and target shooting enthusiast, a musician, and a pilot and flight instructor. He loved westerns, taking cruises, farming and his family.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Brother Jason Harlin officiating.
Visitation will be on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel and again on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the service at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow in the Bartons Creek Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
