LEBANON – Funeral services have been scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, November 7 at the JC Hellum Funeral home for Mr. Thomas, 72, of Lebanon. Born Nov. 18, 1936 in the Toone Community to the late Nathan Fentress and Cassie Robinson, he died Nov. 2, 2009 at University Medical Center, Lebanon.
Mr. Thomas was educated in the Wilson County School System. He was employed as a factory worker for many years until his health began to decline. During this time he met and married Veatrice Hearn. They remained as one until the Lord called her home on January 21, 2004.
Mr. Thomas was a member of the Lebanon Church of God until his passing. He was a member of the Men’s Chorus and LCOG Brotherhood.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:30 – 7 p.m. Services will be conducted by Bishop A.J. Valentine. Burial is scheduled 10 a.m. Sunday a the Price Cemetery.
Survivors include: son Kenneth; along with brothers James Anderson, Calvin Fentress; aunt Annie Lee Chapman; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
