LEBANON -- Services for Mr. Doak, 82, of Lebanon, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel.
A native of Wilson County and former co-owner of the Wilson County Fair, "Charlie" died Sunday, May 30, at his residence.
He served his country both in the U.S. Navy and in the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement in 1985.
Mr. Doak was a part-time employee of Doak Grace and Vault Service, an avid golfer, outdoorsman and a member of the College Hills Church of Christ.
Services will be conducted by Dr. George Robertson and Dr. E. W. Albright. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lebanon.
Survivors include: wife of 45 years Donnette Deadmon Doak; sons Charles L. Doak, Jr. and Ronnie (Gwendolyn) Doak -- all of Lebanon, Bill (Martha) Doak of Shelbyville, Andy (Melissa) Doak of Tullahoma and step-daughter Leanne Maynard (Charles) Lasater of Lebanon.
Also surviving is brother John Foster Doak of Birmingham, Ala.; 32 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Foster and Paula Pitt Doak; sister, Vivian Doak Hinson.
His family at Doak-Howell Funeral Home in Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements.
