LEBANON -- Funeral services have been set for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Hale, 84, of Lebanon.
Retired from United Methodist Publishing House & Ambrose Printing, Mr. Hale passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Hale was a member of the Church of Christ, a U.S. Navy veteran (Seaman 1St Class). He received a Victory Metal while serving on the USS Fanshaw Bay in the Asiatic Pacific, and was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
Visitation Friday, April 8 between the hours of 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the funeral.
Services will be conducted by Brother Joe Widick and Brother Howell Todd. Interment will follow at Brush Creek Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: daughters Brenda (Darrell) Johnson of Gordonsville and Shirley (Mike “Road”) Ruis of Lebanon; stepson Lee Roy (Sandi) Squires of Sevierville; sister Barbara Martin of White Bluff; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, as well as several nephews, nieces, and lifelong brothers and sisters in Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie M. and Minnie Martin Hale; wife Geneva Claudean "Dean" Winfree Hale; sister Helen Fergueson and brother Frank Hale.
Active pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary: Paul Brown, Sam Forbes, Doug Garrison, Thomas Roland and Dayton Jamison.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mr. Hale’s memory to the Odyssey Hospice, 1400 Donelson Pike, Suite B-5, Nashville, 37217.
