Mr. Bissinger, 67, of Lebanon, died Monday, June 27, 2011, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Born Sept. 14, 1943, in Davidson County, he was the son of the late Charles Russell and Mary Jewell Tucker Bissinger. He owned and operated Charlie’s Tire Store in Lebanon until retiring in 1999. He was a Meals on Wheels volunteer at the Lebanon Senior Citizens Center and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a volunteer and supporter of the American Red Cross and had given 13 gallons of blood.
He is survived by his wife, Claudean Wilkerson Bissinger; two children, Chanin Bissinger of Joplin, Mo., and Brennen (Curtis) Williams of Bartlesville, Okla., and step-son, Don (Mandy) Winfree of Lebanon; sister, Darlene (George) Lampley of Dickson; five grandchildren, Blakely and Grady Williams, Cole, Matthew and Maddux Winfree.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Lebanon Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels Volunteers and the Covenant Sunday School Class.
Active pallbearers will be Kevin Lampley, Paul Flowers, Kerry Lampley, Stephen Long, Robert Crawford, Danny Baker, Don Whited, Mike Phillips, Phillip Baker, Garland Bissinger, Wayne McKinney and Chris Lee.
Memorials may be made to the Meals on Wheels Program at the Lebanon Senior Citizens Center.
