Church Safety Seminar planned

Wilson County Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Terry Ashe, the Metro Nashville Police Department and Sgt. Suzanne Stephens of MNPD invite everyone to a Church Safety Seminar to be held Thursday, Sept. 24 at the Sheriff’s Department in Lebanon.

There will be two classes offered. The first will be from 9 a.m. until noon and the second one will be from 1 until 4 p.m. There is no cost to attend.

Participants will learn how to:

• Ensure the safety of pastors, staff and members• Plan and implement church security measures• Create environmental crime prevention measures• Plan for fire and weather evacuations

Authorities said they want to join with you to make your church as safe as possible and encourage you to send staff members, security and anyone from your team.
