Task force to review finalized plan on April 6

Local residents reviewed initial plans for the new West Side Park during a March 30 open house.

"We had an overwhelming turnout at the open house, and we received valuable input and comments from citizens of all ages," said Jeni Lind Brinkman, oversight task force chair. "We look forward to reviewing the finalized park master plan, and we are excited by the positive energy expressed about this project."

Feedback from the meeting will be incorporated into the park's master plan. The finalized plan will be presented to the park task force at its next meeting on Thursday, April 6. Upon acceptance, the task force will then provide the master plan to the Lebanon City Council and remain involved as the design and construction phases move forward.

The design phase of the project is being led by Nashville's Lose & Associates, which has extensive experience with parks and recreation facilities across the region, including Riverfront Park in Nashville, Murfreesboro Greenways and others. The firm previously worked in Lebanon on the Hamilton Springs transit-oriented development and has assisted with the preliminary layout and design of the new Empower Me facilities.
