Table sponsorship opportunities are available now for an upcoming concert in recognition of February’s Black History Month.

The event, which is being coordinated by Marilyn Bryant and produced by the Wilson County Civic League, will feature a night of theatrical performances, poetry and music on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Capitol Theatre in Lebanon. Bryant said the renowned Princely Players will headline the show.

“They are a group that has been around since 1967. It is a performance that will take guests through a timeline of black history and how it has influenced our culture. They take it from slavery times to the Civil Rights Movement,” Bryant explained of the show. She added that the eight-member ensemble group has performed all over the country at venues including Yale University, The Ryan Auditorium, Tennessee Performing Arts Center and the Smithsonian.

In addition to the main act, the show will highlight local talent – including solo performances, youth dance ensembles and music by a community choir.

Levels of sponsorship are:

  • Silver - $250, includes eight tickets
  • Gold - $500, includes 15 tickets
  • Platinum - $750, includes 20 tickets

Wilson Bank & Trust, Honeybees Printing & Design, Neuble Monument Funeral Home, Custom Color Photo Lab, Annette Stafford, Cumberland Real Estate, Liberty State Bank, Clark Boyd, State Farm Insurance and Conrad Construction are helping to make this event possible.
