Among the other resolutions are a myriad of fiscal matters dealing with fund appropriations, line item transfers and budget amendments. One such resolution is a request to receive and put into the budget additional grant funds to cover H1N1 flu expenses.
The resolution will send $280,600 from Health Department programs to pay for overtime, social security, retirement, Medicare, travel, professional services, supplies and other fringe benefits due to the H1N1 flu virus.
Another resolution will amend the budget for fiscal year 2009-2010 and add $50,000 to the Capital Projects Fund in order to complete the Gladeville sewer project.
Also on the agenda is a resolution that would authorize rounding the tax rate in the “Rainy Day Fund.”
The Budget Committee had previously been advised by a representative of the Wilson County Trustee’s Office that, when the new tax rate was plugged into the computer, the tax rate for all funds combined totalled 99.999999 percent, which created a 0.01 percent discrepancy that needs to be placed into the budget in some location.
The Finance Department and auditors agree that the additional 0.01 percent can be placed in the “Rainy Day Fund” so that the components of the tax rate will total 100 percent.
Commission meets at 7 p.m. at the Wilson County Courthouse.
