If you are planning to attend the Wilson County Fair this weekend and are coming from the Mt. Juliet/Nashville area west, traffic will still be moving along the interstate in two lanes in both directions. However, you can also come to Lebanon and the fairgrounds via Highway 70/Lebanon Road/West Main Street.
If you are planning to be in the Nashville area this weekend, TDOT officials said two lanes of I-65 northbound on the Wedgewood Avenue bridge will be closed so workers can perform bridge repairs. The lanes will be closed from 10 p.m., Friday, Aug. 15 until 5 a.m., Monday, Aug. 18. One lane will remain open.
TDOT will use overhead and portable message boards on area interstates to alert motorists of the closures. Police will also be at both sites to assist with traffic. Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route around these work zones.
