There is a 30 percent chance of rain today, mostly before 1 p.m., then gradually becoming mostly sunny.

Saturdays high should be about 77 under mostly sunny skies.

The warmer temperatures return on Sunday with a high of about 85 and mostly sunny. It may be the end of next week before we see the 90s again, Boucher added.

Meteorologists were concerned that last nights weather could bring with it the chance of strong winds, large-size hail and frequent lightning. Isolated tornadoes in some locations were not out of the question.

Its the most elevated (chance) weve had in the last month or two, Boucher said, regarding the possibility of severe weather.

He noted that the isolated stuff prior to the cold fronts arrival, a squall line with possibly large hail, would likely be the biggest threat.

There is a 20 percent chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms Sunday night with a low of about 66.

Monday will be partly sunny with a high near 88. There is a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
