SHOP SPRINGS -- Funeral Services were held Sunday afternoon, Aug. 21 at the Shop Springs Baptist Church for Mr. Jones, 75, of Lebanon.
Born April 13, 1936, the native Wilson Countian was the son of the late Henry M. and Edna A. Loftis Jones. He died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at his home.
Mr. Jones was a retired aircraft electrician from Textron Aerostructures in Nashville.
He was a member of the Shop Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Teacher of the Co-Ed Sunday School Class.
Services were conducted by Rev. Carl Price and Dr. David Briscoe.
Interment followed at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife of 54 years Claudine Jones; children David (Tammy) Jones of Lebanon and Randy (Bonnie) Jones of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren Patrick Jones and Brittan (Linda) Jones; great grandson Baylan Jones; brothers Billy (Margaret) Jones of Lebanon and Harvey (Margaret) Jones of Alabama; and sisters Verna Midgett of Smithville and Dee (Wilburn) Hensley of Cookeville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Ben, Bethel, Hooper, Jessie, Tom Jones, Jean Heady and Oler Belle Bradshaw.
Active pallbearers: Jason Bradshaw, Grant Chambers, Tyler Hobson, Justin Turner, Jason Turner and Jeffrey Turner.
Honorary: Deacons and Co-Ed Sunday School Class of Shop Springs Baptist Church.
