"Mr. Murphy has expertise in project management, coordination of safety and ergonomic training and coordination of maintenance departments," the statement continued.

The salutatorian of his graduating class at Watertown High School, Murphy attended Draughon's Business College as well as Cumberland University.

The statement noted two custodian positions have also been filed for the expo center, and custodians are set to begin clean-up and preparation of the facility for upcoming events. The center is scheduled to open next month.
