CU athletes honored for academics

LEBANON -- Cumberland women's soccer players Beth Morgan, Kaitlin Phillips and Michelle Ward were all named NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes on Friday by the national office. Student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average or better to be eligible for the award.

Morgan, a junior from Manchester, carries a 3.65 GPA in Psychology, while junior Kaitlin Phillips, an Edmonton, Alberta, native, has a 3.81 in Health and Human Performance.

Ward, a senior from St. John’s, Newfoundland, owns a 3.75 GPA in Psychology.

Two Cumberland men honored
Cumberland University’s Ian Hamilton and Luke Wilson were named NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes on Friday by the national office.

Hamilton, a junior from West Chester, Ohio, carries a 3.65 GPA in Nursing while Wilson, a senior from Birmingham, England, has a 3.54 in Business.
